Classic Steamboat Cruises is a family run company; father and son team
Warwick and Hamish Turner, have been heavily involved in the
preservations and operation of heritage vessels since the 1960's.
"Grower" was built in 1924 for the Kincumber Grower's corporation Co. Ltd.
New South Wales, for carrying produce and passenger and has
been in continual service since then. Constructed of Kauri, Douglas Fir
and Laid Hardwood decks, she has an internal open plan design and
outside stern decking, and offers a classically unique cruise experience. She is
the perfect all weather boat for any occasion. Licensed for 43 passengers.
S.L. "Protector" is a work in progress. Built in 1917 for the Sydney Ferry Trade,
she was salvaged by the Turner's and is undergoing an extensive refit, including
the installation of a 1918 compound steam engine and yarrow boiler!
Licensed to carry 50, she will offer a fine dining and cruising experience
for those looking to impress or to be impressed.
